Publisher Description
PeerTECH is a peer and technology-supported self-management intervention that teaches adults with a lived experience of a mental health condition how to co-manage psychiatric illness and chronic health conditions.
The app supports two types of users: service users (those currently struggling with a severe mental health condition) and peer supporters (those with a lived experience of a mental health condition, trained as peer supporters to the service users). The app allows service users and peer supporters to communicate, set goals, and access resources that help in the recovery process.
This app is for use by invite only, through users' healthcare organizations.
This tool does not provide medical advice. It is intended for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Never ignore professional medical advice in seeking treatment because of something you have read on the PeerTECH app or advice you received from a peer support specialist. If you think you may have a medical emergency, immediately call your doctor or dial 911.
